Mohali, October 24: Punjab FC have bolstered their squad ahead of the AIFF Super Cup 2025 with the signings of Samir Zeljković, Daniel Ramírez Fernández, and Pablo Renan dos Santos. The additions bring a blend of European experience, creativity, and defensive strength to the team as it aims for a strong tournament campaign.
Bosnian midfielder Samir Zeljković joins Punjab FC to add control and balance in midfield. Known for his tactical awareness and work ethic, he brings valuable experience from European competitions and will be key to linking defense and attack.
Spanish playmaker Daniel Ramírez Fernández adds flair and creativity to Punjab’s attacking setup. The 33-year-old, who has previously played in Spain and Turkey, is expected to bring vision, composure, and technical quality in the final third.
Brazilian centre-back Pablo Renan dos Santos strengthens the defensive unit with his leadership and composure. The 33-year-old’s experience and aerial ability will add solidity to the backline.
These international signings complement Punjab FC’s growing Indian core and align with the club’s long-term vision of building a sustainable footballing ecosystem. Recognised with a five-star rating in the AIFF Annual Academy Accreditation Programme 2025–26, Punjab FC operates 26 development centers across Punjab and has produced 12 Indian internationals across senior and youth levels.
