Mahilpur, October 8: Punjab FC continued their fine form in the ongoing Punjab Super League 2025, defeating Young FC 3–0 to extend their unbeaten streak to eight matches. The clinical performance showcased the team’s growing confidence and depth as they dominated proceedings from start to finish.
After a competitive opening half, Punjab FC broke the deadlock in the 45th minute through Yendrembam Boby Singh, who slotted home a composed finish following a well-constructed move down the right flank. Barely moments later, Bishu Sharma doubled the lead in first-half added time (45+3’) with a powerful strike that left the Young FC goalkeeper rooted to his spot.
In the second half, Punjab FC maintained control of possession and dictated the tempo, denying Young FC any real scoring chances. The result was sealed in the 82nd minute, when Satpal found the back of the net with a neat finish after a clever through ball split the defence.
The 3–0 victory not only keeps Punjab FC’s unbeaten record intact but also reinforces their position among the top contenders for the title. The team’s balance between solid defence and creative attacking play has been a hallmark of their campaign so far.
Punjab FC will look to carry this momentum into their next fixture against Rail Coach Factory Football Club on October 12, where they’ll aim to continue their impressive run and strengthen their standing in the league table.
